- This fact sheet, funded by OP, is one of five (four have been published and the fifth was replaced by a report that was published in April 2024) that provides talking points and data to inform the discourse on clean electricity and reliability. It captures overall grid reliability trends and causes of outages, e.g., current interruptions average 5 hours per year and are generally driven by outages on the distribution system caused by falling trees, wildlife, and traffic accidents.
